The Victoria Holocaust Remembrance and Education Society

Combats elements of racism in our society; those who wish to deny others of their full citizenship and human rights, through education of the Holocaust experience.   Has established an Education Liaison Committee, comprised of public and private school teachers, to develop and compile a Holocaust Education Resource Kit to accompany Holocaust and multicultural programs in both the public and private school settings.   Develops an annual Holocaust education program for the general public, which focuses on the development of social values related to tolerance and acceptance of different groups of people and their cultures. This is facilitated through the personal testimony of individuals who have experienced or witnessed racism, intolerance, the Holocaust, and genocide.   Creates, through an annual Holocaust Education Symposium, an environment that interprets and presents events of the Holocaust in a responsible manner and with contemporary relevance.
