Why do some survivors share their experiences?

The title of this module is:
Why survivors share about the Holocaust.

Introduction to the Module:

Some survivors of the Holocaust are unable to talk about their painful experiences, even with their families. This is understandable. However, some survivors not only speak about it with their family and friends, they speak out in public.

Over the years the Victoria Holocaust Education Symposium has been privileged to host many such speakers. Once a year for over 10 years, they have come to Victoria, BC to speak to over 1,000 high school students a year.
Afterwards there is a question period. Some of our speaker were asked - Why do you choose share these difficult memories over and over again?

Below you will find links to video clips of the survivors answering this interesting question. Your learning task? Just to listen and reflect. Thanks for taking the time to consider the survivors varied answers.

This module consists of just this page. The video clip links are below.
